Our eco-responsible commitments
Like all other economic players, festivals have an important role to play in the ecological transition and address numerous environmental challenges. With its mountain identity and location in the heart of the Alps, the Valloire Baroque Festival has, since its inception in 2010, chosen to minimize its impact. Today, we are structuring this approach to go even further.

Food
We work with local suppliers who offer seasonal menus. Vegetarian options are always available. The exact number of meals needed is ordered so as to limit waste.
Mobility
The Festival favors local ensembles and ensembles that are environmentally friendly in their travel policy. During the festival, both artists and technicians (who are housed on-site all week to avoid commuting) travel primarily on foot. Our volunteers provide carpooling for the transfers between Valloire and the train station.
Festival-goers arriving by train or bus benefit from reduced fares for concerts.
Communication
We are reducing our quantities of printed materials (posters, flyers, and booklets). Our digital communication is under control. We have significantly reduced the number of printed concert tickets. We do not produce promotional items.
Awareness
The Festival program includes moments in nature, such as the Musical Walk or the Singing Hike, during which participants discover the local environment (commentary, guide, etc.).
Solidarity
The Festival is organized by a team of several dozen volunteers.
The pricing policy is inclusive. The “Cultural Bridges” performances reach audiences who are “distant” from classical music.
Personalized services are provided for people with disabilities.
Parity
We pay close attention to gender parity within our artistic teams. The Festival’s permanent staff respects gender parity.
The President of the association has completed training in prevention and awareness of gender-based and sexual violence.
